Review: SavingsAccounts.Com

So, some of you know that I’ve recently been looking for a new place to store my money. I had been with ING for a while, but when I heard about SavingsAccounts.com I ended up moving my money over to HSBC.

Why is SavingsAccounts.com so useful? First, you can check out all the rates on the web at once, from all the major banks - ING, HSBC, CitiBank, Bank of America, and so forth. Second, they’ve got a great list of financial articles on their resources page, and they have plenty of good information there. Finally, they’ve taken the time to make the page simple and easy to use without having a lot of extraneous junk - you can see what you’re looking for on the site right away.

Oh, and the little piggy bank logo is pretty cute, too.

Review: InPhonic

December 20th, 2006 by patchmonkey

InPhonic is a leading online seller of wireless services and devices, selling wireless services and devices through private labeled websites that they create and manage for online businesses, affinity organizations and national retailers, as well as through thier own branded websites. Their primary website, at the moment, is Wirefly.com, which is the industry leader in online activations. InPhonic is a publicly traded company, whose board of directors includes John Sculley of Apple fame.

InPhonic recently received a fairly glowing review in a major Washington D.C. newspaper - and it seems like it will be a fairly impressive business model. As more and more people buy online, it only seems likely that there will be greater sales of cell phones and other products from InPhonic and the like. They are also anticipating great customer growth: “Our business model has changed dramatically,” said Chief Executive Officer David Steinberg. “We should be seeing an acceleration off our customer base growth.” Mr. Steinberg said InPhonic has 7.5 million to 8 million customers.

InPhonic’s stock symbol is INPC.
