Good Morning, Tokyo

Heya everyone! After a very long trip, I have finally arrived in Tokyo. It was a long, grueling trip - but if you can fly first class internationally, I totally recommend it.

I really haven’t done much yet - I’m taking some pictures of my hotel that will go up on my flickr account, I’ve ridden some trains, etc, but nothing exciting yet. Today though is seijin no hi, or Coming of Age day, so all the 20 year olds get dressed up and officially become adults today. Time for more pictures!

I did make the mistake of buying the express train ticket and then taking the local, but the time difference wasn’t huge. The big problem was taking the subway the wrong direction at first, but I realized it after one stop. Then I got to the hotel, met one or two people in the program, and immediately passed out.

Now, what about the rest of the week? Tomorrow I hope to go apartment shopping (or regular shopping, since the airline lost one of my bags). Wednesday is orientation, and then classes start on Thursday - exciting! Whee! Huzzah!

Until next time, peace out!
